Eddie Wins Fall Brawl at Riverside
The three-time postponed Fall Brawl at Riverside Speedway in Groveton, N.H. finally took the green flag on a 25 degree day with Eddie Mac dominating most of the way to secure the win in Team Peterson's final race of the season. The scheduled event for the $5,000 win was 200 laps but was shortened to 150 laps for a $3,000 win.

"It was great to finally run this race and win," said a jubilant Eddie Mac after the race. "The car was really fast and I just had to stay out of trouble and knew we had the car to beat. It was cold so we had to make sure not to slide the tires on the cold track. The trip on the way up had us a little concerned when we drove through the mountains and the roads were plowed. We didn't know what to expect during practice so we tried a number of different set ups and we settled on the right one."

Fresh off the Milk Bowl victory at Thunder Road, the Freddie Peterson owned Chevy was again very stout in winning the heat and started third in the feature. When the green flag waved the Hancock Electric Motor Service sponsored #17 ran comfortably for the first 35 laps of the race. The veteran Rowley, Mass. racer then began making his move to the top spot. From then on Eddie Mac out-powered the 17 car field to lead for almost 110 laps before taking the checkered flag.

"The car was just so fast and handled so well it was a lot of fun to drive," said Eddie Mac. "Rollie (LaChance -crew chief) did a great job setting it up and the crew did a fantastic job as they have done all season. When I finally got to the front I was able to maintain a three to four car length lead to the checkers. Everyone drove a clean race right from the start. We started out the season with an incredible win in the Governor's Cup at Lee USA Speedway and this is a great way to end the season with the Milk Bowl and the Fall Brawl wins. For a while there I thought it was going to be the Winter Brawl. Hopefully our next race is going to be in a lot warmer location."

Team Peterson is making tentative plans to race in the American Canadian Tour event scheduled at New Smyrna Speedway, Florida as part of the annual World Series of Asphalt Racing. The event will be held on two successive nights February 16-17, 2015 for the American Racer Cup title awarded to the racer with the best combined point total in the two 100 lap races.

Racing for Sheila and Freddie Peterson has been a blast and I am looking forward to next year. I really owe a lot to Scott and Ken Thompson for everything they have one for this team for a number of years. With the Hancock Electric sponsorship, we have been able to succeed at this high level for some time. Rob Grimm, who owns our K&N Pro Series East team, has also been a huge supporter in the Late Model and we thank him. Rollie and I are so thankful for the crew that continues to do a fantastic job every time we race. None of our success would be possible without them. Thanks to all our fans for their support and hope to see you in Florida."
